Subaru Canada Teams with DMT Group to Launch Online Dealer Chat Platform
24 April, 2018

  • DIGITAL! Interview allows consumers visiting Subaru.ca to chat live with sales staff at any Subaru dealer across Canada.

  • Platform connects consumers with the people who know Subaru products best.

  • Winnipeg-based DMT Group the first in Canada to release this proprietary routing technology.

(MISSISSAUGA, ONT.)—Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) has partnered with Winnipeg-based DMT Group to launch a new digital platform allowing consumers visiting Subaru.ca to chat directly with a sales consultant at any of the more than 90 Subaru dealers across Canada in real-time when doing their research and shopping online.

“The ability to have potential customers chat directly with a sales consultant from a local dealer in real time is a game changer for our business,” said SCI’s senior vice-president of operations, Don Durst. “It will undoubtedly change the automotive experience and our dealers are looking forward to the increase in leads and business as a result.”

Known as DIGITAL! Interview, the platform optimizes the online chat experience, ensuring consumers receive helpful answers to all their questions at the click of a button. It connects customers to the dealership sales staff from any device on any platform in real-time without the nuisance of downloading an app or any software.

The intent of the DIGITAL! Interview platform is to provide consumers with a personalized, seamless experience while researching a purchase, connecting them with the people who know Subaru products best. The platform also allows consumers to have their initial questions answered before heading to the dealership, arming them with the information they need to consider purchasing a Subaru vehicle with confidence.

“As more of what we do evolves in this increasingly digital world, I’m very excited to provide our customers and dealers with this additional way to connect,” said SCI president, chairman and CEO Yasushi Enami. “More than a sales tool, I think this is another way for our dealers to communicate with consumers in a manner that’s both comfortable and convenient.”

DMT Group was the first in Canada to release this proprietary routing technology allowing customers to engage in online conversations with knowledgeable sales representatives from their preferred local dealers.

“There is no other platform like this available to auto dealers,” said Glen Demetrioff, president and CEO of DMT Group. “While most digital chat providers simply collect lead information for later follow up, DIGITAL! Interview connects customers to your sales team in real-time to instantly convert chats into an appointment.”
