On the Touring trim level and above, there’s an automatic dual-zone climate control system with humidity sensor incorporated. The seats on the Subaru Outback are designed to provide increased support and comfort over the long haul. The standard driver’s seat is 10-way power-adjustable and includes 2-way power lumbar support. The Limited, Limited XT and Premier XT trim levels feature a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar support, seat cushion length adjustment and two-position memory function. These models also feature an 8-way power-adjustable seat for the front passenger. On the Onyx trim level and higher, there are heated outboard seats for rear-seat passengers, as well as multi-purpose seatback pockets on both front seats. Front-seat passengers benefit from standard heated seats and, exclusive to the Premier XT trim level, ventilated genuine Nappa-leather seats. The Subaru Outback Wilderness™ sports exclusive front headrests embossed with the “Subaru Wilderness” logo.

Although the 2023 Subaru Outback is rugged to the core, it’s also surprisingly comfortable. The passenger cabin features great visibility, plenty of space for five passengers and their gear, and a wealth of standard convenience features, such as a full-circle heated steering wheel, and a USB-A and USB-C port in the rear centre console. The list of available amenities includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector, a wireless phone charger (on the Touring trim level and up), and soft-touch materials and silver accents (for the Limited, Limited XT and Premier XT trim levels). The Onyx trim level features all-weather rubber floor mats, all-weather soft-touch seating surfaces, alloy pedals and a rear bumper step pad. On the even more adventurous Outback Wilderness™, the interior features exclusive anodized copper accent stitching, all-weather rubber floor mats and all-weather soft-touch upholstery with geometric pattern.

Greater Cargo Space

In using the Subaru Global Platform, the 2023 Outback gained countess benefits over previous generations, including increased cargo capacity. All trim levels come standard with 60/40-split flat-folding rear seats; when folded down, the cargo volume soars from 920 litres to 2,144 litres. The cargo area itself is flatter than before for increased versatility when loading a wide variety of items. On the Touring trim level and higher, the hands-free power tailgate feature allows for even easier access.
