A sleek silhouette, a powerful presence

The 2017 Subaru Legacy features a number of design cues that bring more presence and more strength to this handsome sedan. The steeply raked windshield and coupe-like roofline enhance style without sacrificing cabin space. The signature body-integrated hexagonal grille and hawk-eye headlights create a sharp, confident look. The trunk lip spoiler delivers improved aerodynamics and even more curb appeal. Aluminum Alloy Wheels

The Legacy is available with three different lightweight and aerodynamic alloy wheels designed for better handling, stability and all-around performance. Touring models feature 17-inch wheels with a sharp 5-Y spoke design. Both the Limited and Sport models showcase 18-inch wheels; the former features black and machine finish wheels with high-relief design, while the latter gains high-gloss, machined wheels with split 5-spoke design.

Headlights

Whether it’s sundown or you’re driving through a tunnel, these headlights automatically turn on in low-light conditions. They are also activated automatically when the windshield wipers are in use for improved visibility in bad weather. All models with the Technology Package feature High Beam Assist, which automatically turns the high beams on and off to avoid distracting other drivers. Sleek HID headlights are available on Limited models. For added nighttime security, the Legacy also features standard welcome lighting – the headlights (and interior lights) automatically turn on as the driver approaches or leaves the car.

Panoramic Sunroof

This large power sunroof provides a panoramic vista of the sky above for all passengers to enjoy. The sunroof fully retracts, slides or tilts open to circulate fresh air throughout the cabin. For those blisteringly hot days, an integrated sunshade slides across to provide cool comfort.

Aerodynamics

Standard on the Legacy 2.5i models, the Active Grille Shutter system boosts fuel economy by reducing wind resistance when the front grille is closed. The Legacy also features enhanced aerodynamics courtesy of the standard integrated trunk spoiler, streamlined side rocker panels, and sleeker roofline.

Power-adjustable Heated Mirrors

These large side mirrors are integrated into the doors and power-adjustable to ensure superior sightlines. The mirrors are aerodynamically sculpted to reduce wind noise, heated to remove fog and frost, and foldable to fit tight parking spaces. Touring, Sport and Limited models also feature auto-dimming capability and LED turn signals for added safety, visibility and style.

Multi-reflector Halogen Fog Lights

There’s not much debate about it: the better your lights, the more you see. Standard on Touring, Sport and Limited models, the multi-reflector halogen fog lights cut through murky conditions and vastly improve nighttime discernibility. These fog lights bring improved safety into sharp focus.
