Scheduled maintenance for [kilometers]

Seasonal check: Summer

  • A/C output temperature
  • Check vents for indications of mold/mildew accumulated over winter or blockages
  • Pressure test cooling system
  • Radiator fan operation
  • Replace windshield wipers

Seasonal check: Winter

  • Engine coolant and windshield washer fluid is good for -35 C (+/- 5)
  • Replace windshield wipers with winter rated wipers

Check engine oil level

  • We recommend you check your engine oil level every second fuel fill-up or at a minimum of once every 2,000km

Every 10 years: Inspect SRS

  • Check for codes
  • Inspect seat belts for fraying, and check operation

Every 80,000 km/4 years (whichever occurs first):

  • Inspect wheel bearings

Every 150,000 km

  • Replacement of camshaft drive belts (STI Only)

Every 120,000 km/6 years (whichever occurs first):

  • Replace fuel filter

Every 160,000 km/8 years (whichever occurs first)

  • Replacement of camshaft drive belts (if applicable)

At 220,000 km /11 years (whichever occurs first)

  • Perform coolant flush and replace with Subaru long life coolant
